In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Geography under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are:
Geography and any two Arts subject
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) MAUTECH requires Geography, and any two Science or social Sciences subjects.
O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates
To apply for Geography as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include English, Mathematics and Geography.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) MAUTECH requires fives ‘O’ level credit to include English, Mathematics, Geography and any two of Biology, Chemistry Physics, and Economics
(ii) KUST accepts IJMB/ND/NCE in Geography and any other Science subject.
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates
To apply for Geography as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes including Geography
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) MAUTECH accepts:
(a) Two `A’ level passes with a minimum of C grade in Geography Mathematics, Physics, Biology/Chemistry , Economics
(b) ND in relevant field to Environmental Sciences with minimum of Lower credit.
(ii) KUST accepts two A/L passes with a minimum of C Grade in Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Agric/Biology and Economics.
