JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Technology and Vocational Education under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:

Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Technology and Vocational Education as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credits in relevant subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics or NTC/NBC.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) ESUT and MAUTECH accept TC II.

(ii) ESUT requires candidate to have credit in the subject area of his option. Also candidate’s UTME subjects must include subject area of his option.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Technology and Vocational Education as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) NCE with two merit in relevant Science subjects plus UTME requirements.

(ii) Two ‘A’ level passes from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) MAUTECH accepts NCE (Tech/Science) with merit in relevant subjects plus UTME requirements.

(ii) MAUTECH accept any of the following qualifications into 200 level if they satisfy UTME requirements.
(a) ND/HND in Science or Engineering;
(b) City and Guilds Full Technological Certificate.

(iii) ESUT accepts merit in 4 NCE subjects into 300 level.

(iv) MAUTECH accepts NCE with merit in relevant subjects. Also accepts Lower credit in `A’ level related and relevant fields.
