JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Education and Edo Language under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:

Literature in English and any other two Arts subjects.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Education and Edo Language as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE Credit passes at not more than two sittings. The subjects should include English Language while others should be chosen from Literature in English, History, Religious Knowledge, Government, and Edo Language.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIBEN accepts two relevant subjects and any other subject.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Education and Edo Language as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two Merit level passes in N.C.E, one of which should be Edo Language plus three ‘O’ level Credit passes obtained at one sitting one of which should be English Language while others chosen from Literature in English, Religious Knowledge, Fine Arts, French, History or Government at one sitting.

(ii) Three Merit level passes in N.C.E, one of which should be Edo Language and at least two ‘O’ level Credit passes obtained at one sitting one of which should be English Language while others chosen from Literature in English, Religious Knowledge, Fine Arts, French, History or Government.
