JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Modern and European Language under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions listed above are:

French and any other two subjects from Arts and Social Sciences.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIZIK accepts any three subjects from Arts and Social Sciences.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Modern and European Language as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes including French and English Language plus at least one other Arts subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIZIK accept candidates with no previous knowledge of French. And UNIZIK gives accelerated course in French in the first year.

(ii) UNIZIK accepts five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English, French and at least two other Arts subjects and one Social Science subject.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Modern and European Language as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes including French and one other Arts subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIZIK accept NCE plus credit in English

(ii) UNIZIK accepts NCE to include a pass in French and accepts Baccalauria t l’Eensciane – Merit Secondaire or equivalent.
