The University of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a university in Ilorin, Nigeria. It was established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in 1975 and is a federal government owned tertiary institution of education located in Ilorin, Kwara State, western Nigeria. The ancient city of Ilorin, capital of Kwara State, is about 300 km from Lagos and 500 km from Abuja, the country’s administrative capital. In August 2014, the school was ranked as the best university in Nigeria by 4icu.
The management of University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) wishes to announce to all her students that the date for the commencement of the harmattan (first) semester examinations is Monday, 26th January, 2015 and will end on Saturday, 14th February, 2015.
It is therefore, necessary to emphasize that the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of examinations be strictly adhered to, in order to ensure hitch-free examinations.
Further to the above, the cooperation of all those to be involved in the conduct of the examinations are hereby solicited and all necessary machinery needed for hitch free examinations should be put in place.
Students are strongly advised not to be involved in any form of examination malpractices, as any caught would face severe disciplinary action. The use of mobile sets, i-pods, etc are prohibited and any set discovered in the examination halls would be impounded.
Students are also required to present to invigilators, the following:
i. Duly signed original registration forms (not copies) and no registration form with any form of alteration without proper endorsement by the Level Adviser and Faculty Officer would be accepted;
ii. University identification cards; and
iii. Evidence of payment of school charges
It is advisable that students who have misplaced their I.D. cards should make request for a replacement urgently. Students are equally advised to get acquainted with the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the examinations as contained in the Academic Programmes.
