UNILAG Nov/Dec 2014 Accreditation Exercise

A team of the National Universities Commission has arrived the University of Lagos for the NUC November/December 2014 Accreditation Exercise.
The team which includes academics drawn from tertiary institutions across Nigeria was officially received on Monday, December 01, 2014 in the Senate Chamber, Senate House, UNILAG, Akoka. They were received by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Rahamon A. Bello, FAEng along with the two Deputy Vice-Chancellors, (Academics & Research and Management Services) Professor Babajide Alo and Professor Duro Oni; Registrar, Dr. Taiwo F. Ipaye, MNIM; Bursar, Mr. Lateef A. Odekunle; Provost, College of Medicine, Professor Folasade Ogunsola; Director of Academic Planning, Professor Toyin Ogundipe; Director, Quality Assurance and Servicom, Professor S. Okunuga; Deans and Heads of  various Faculties and Departments within the University.
In a brief remark, the Vice-Chancellor welcomed the NUC team, describing the accreditation process as a vital exercise in the life of any university. He assured the team of the University’s openness to suggestions and availability to supply all necessary documents and facilities for the exercise.
In response, a member of the NUC team and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Akwa-Ibom State University, Professor Eno J. Ibanga thanked the University authorities for the rousing welcome and hospitality extended to members of the team many of whom arrived the University on Sunday, November 30, 2014. He stated the team’s commitment to pursuing an open and objective exercise in line with the template provided by the NUC.
