UNIABUJA Second semester resumption date for 2014/2015 has been announced. All students of the university are hereby informed and advised to prepare for the resumption of lectures as well.

The  management of University of Abuja(UNIABUJA) wishes to inform the students of  the institution that the 2014/2015 second semester resumption date has been fixed for April 19th, 2015. In light of this, all students of the university are advised to resume immediately as lectures will commence on April 20th, 2015.

UNIABUJA 2014/2015 Distance Learning Admission Form – Apply

The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education (CDL&CE) invites applications from qualified candidates for admission into the following undergraduate courses by distance learning for the 2014/2015 Session:


I. Faculty of Management Sciences
B.Sc. (Hons) Accounting
B.Sc. (Hons) Business Administration
B.Sc. (Hons) Public Administration

II. Faculty of Social Science
B.Sc. (Hons) Economics
B.Sc. (Hons) Political Science
B.Sc. (Hons) Sociology


Applicants seeking admission into the specified programmes of the Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education of the University of Abuja must possess any of the following requirements:

i. SSCE/WASC, GCE ‘O’ Level, NECO, NABTEB or TC II with Five credit passes including English and Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings.
ii. Two’ A’ Level passes with a minimum of three ‘O’ level credit passes in the relevant subjects.
iii. OND in a relevant field with a minimum of Upper credit obtained from a recognized institution plus five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes as in (i) above.
iv. NCE with a minimum of Ten points pass obtained from a recognized institution in addition to five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes as in (i) above.


All applicants must satisfy the entry requirements of the University of Abuja. Applicants must have passed at credit level at least five (5) departmental relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.


Programmes run for four or five years depending on entry qualifications. The mode of study is mainly through online course delivery, multi-media resources, audio-visual materials, (CDs, DVDs, Disk drive) etc.


The application is online. Interested applicant should follow the process below:

Step 1: Go online to our portal: “” to generate Reference Number/PIN. Click on ‘Apply Here’ and ‘Generate Reference Number”. Print two copies.

Step 2: Go to any of the branches of First Bank, UBA, Unity Bank, Zenith Bank nationwide with print-out containing the Reference Number/PIN and pay the application fee of N10,000 (Ten thousand Naira) only.

Step 3: Go back to “” to access, fill and submit the application form online after which you are to print the completed application form & acknowledgement slip.
To do these, click on ‘Apply Here’ and ‘Online Application’. (Opportunity will be given to save application form and complete the form later in case certain information are not readily available while filling the form online).


All applicants are required to have a functional e-mail for the purpose of this application through which information can be sent. The Centre also requires an applicant to have a functional telephone number to which text messages (SMS) could be sent. Applicants are expected to check their e-mail and message boxes from time to time for information an update regarding their applications.
