The noble idea to establish a state university in Yobe state was first muted by he administration of Alh. Bukar Abba Ibrahim, the then Executive Governor of Yobe state.

YSU 2015/2016 Post Utme Form Information

Yobe State University (YSU) 2015/2016 Post UTME screening form for all admission-seeking candidates is now available as has been announced by the institution. All concerned aspirants and interested members of the public that wish to study in the institution are hereby notified and advised to procure their forms as soon as possible.

According the school’s management and authorities, the process of registering candidates for 2015/2016 Post UTME Screening Exercise registration has commenced in the Yobe State University (YSU), Ogbomoso. The details of the registration, cut off mark have been released likewise.

YSU 2015/2016 Post UTME Application Procedures, Venues and Dates

Yobe State University (YSU) wishes to inform all candidates who applied for admission through UTME and DE into the institution, Damaturu for the 2015/2016 Academic Session that the Post-UTME Screening form is now available.

Eligibility Criteria:

Only candidates with minimum UTME requirement of 180 points and above and who have chosen Yobe State University, Damaturu as their first choice are eligible for the examination can apply.

Screening Exercise Details:

The Examination Exercise will hold as follows:
Date: – Saturday, 8th August, 2015
Time: – 8: 00am prompt
Venue: – Faculty of Law Complex

All candidates MUST produce the following as prerequisite for writing the examination:
a. Payment of a non-refundable fee of Three Thousand Naira (N3, 000.00). Payment commences on 29th July, 2015 at the following Banks:


Candidates should come along with their payment teller for the collection of receipt at the Bursary Department.

b. Documentation will start immediately at the Admission Office of the University.

c. Photocopy of credentials and original of UTME Result Slip.

d. Two recent passport size photographs.

e. Provision of writing materials (i.e, pencil and eraser).

Similarly, the direct entry (DE) screening will also commence on Saturday 22nd August, 2015, at the same venue.
