University of Lagos (UNILAG) 2017/2018 Admission Requirements
General Admission Requirements
Admission into FULL-TIME undergraduate programmes is ONLY through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE).
Candidate must possess five (5) credits in O’Level or its equivalent as required by the Department of interest.
Candidates must obtain a minimum of 200 points in Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Candidate’s details must have been forwarded to University of Lagos by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Candidate must sit for the University POST-UTME Examination and must obtain the required minimum score.
The University Admissions Office processes FULL-TIME admission into undergraduate programmes ONLY. Admission into other programmes like Foundation, Diploma, Distance Learning Institute (DLI), Post-graduate and evening programmes are handled by other organs of the University.
Candidate must have reached the AGE of SIXTEEN (16) by the 31st day of OCTOBER in the year of admission.

Verification of Results
All prospective candidates who possess international certificates such as Cambridge Ordinary/Advance Level, Edexcel International GSCE, should apply fro verification of their results from the examining bodies. The verified results should be forwarded to ther Registrar, University of Lagos, Senate Building, Akoka, Lagos, Nigeria.
Any candidate whose result is not verified or found to be forged could have his or her admission terminated.

Caution
PAYMENT TO INDIVIDUALS: University of Lagos does not require any payment to process admission and does not engage any agent for admission. Prospective students are cautioned not to patronize touts.
FORGED DOCUMENTS: candidates who present forged documents will forfeit their admission upon discovery.
Disclaimer
It has come to the notice of the University authorities that a text message is being circulated which advertised that the on-line registration for the 2017/2018 Screening Exercise for admission will commence from Wednesday, August 9th to Wednesday, August 31st, 2017.
This is a scam. The message did not emanate from the University of Lagos.
Members of the public are advised to ignore this message as the University of Lagos has not commenced the 2017/2018 Admission Exercise.
The University website is the only authentic source of information on admissions.
UNILAG Admission Requirements has changed sir. According to management of the university, below are the requirements for admission now:
1. Candidates must have reached the age of 16.
2. Candidates must have at least 5 (five) “Cs (Credits)” grades in their O’level result (s). This must include English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects related to their course of study. For instance, a Candidate that wants to study law must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics and Literature in English.
3. Candidates must score at least 200 in JAMB UTME examination
4. Candidates must take UNILAG post UTME screening examination and must perform very well in the examination (Depending on the course of study)
5. Not more than two sitting results is accepted for admission into the University of Lagos (UNILAG)
6. Candidates must choose the correct subject combination for their courses.
7. Finally, candidates must meet the stipulated cutoff marks for their courses to gain admission into university.
