  • , I must sincerely congratulate you for the high degree of wits you apply in handling comments and mostly the questions posed to you here.
However, I wish to say that while UNICAL is sticking to her guns and making things awful for these ones, she should equally underscore the fact that all are not thieves whom their dogs bark at.
The court has ruled that JAMB has no right to reassign any candidate to an institution against the candidate’s will. The implication is that JAMB will no longer post anybody anywhere. Thus, the idea of waiting patiently for JAMB to post one to a school is nullified.
Now, it is not untrue that other institutions that danced to the rhythm of JAMB’s new admission policy before this time have all enhanced their lists of candidates. So, what a hell is the matter with UNICAL?
Believe me: this youths that have always met frustration under the titles of JAMB and UNICAL on yearly basis are human beings with a mind and muscles. They can think and act. Whatever becomes of UNICAL and Nigerian Education System after now can be best attributed to just this inhuman act by the duo.
Not only has UNICAL insisted on departmental cut-off marks, but has also placed her registration fee at a rate I consider too exorbitant and perhaps the highest paid of all other federal and state universities in the country with only private universities as an exception.
To make things worse, UNICAL’s registrar, MRS. JULIANA OMANG, cuts calls made to her and most times deliberately misses phone calls and at other times puts off her lines completely.
Well, whatever goes up must surely come down. What goes round comes around.
If UNICAL continues this way, in the nearest future we will all sink.
We may say this site was never meant for this, but if not here where else can one freely have to air out what about UNICAL?
All said and well decoded, UNICAL needs to prone her wings and condescend to accepting the court’s ruling and leave her cut-off mark for PUTME this year at 180, and that registration fee must be reduced to at most half the price.
    I rest my case.

    1. Abu, indeed I must say that I am speechless but more than that, I am touched by the plight of many admission seeking candidates in Nigeria. We must find a way out of this menace in our educational system before the situation gets completely out of hand. My brother, for now, all we can do is to be hopeful, positive and optimistic. We cannot let the system decide our fate.

    1. Gift, JAMB gave schools like UNICAL that get a lot of applicants the jurisdiction to change their cut-off marks if they so wished. I’m sorry about that. Let’s be patient and see what JAMB will say. They’re yet to post a lot of candidates.

    1. Gift, they’ve reversed it. Schools like UNILAG, UI and UNN have updates their lists. I think UNICAL should have done the same. Once you have made up to their departmental cut-off, you should be able to apply.
