It was recalled that over 200 workers including lecturers and non teaching staff were sacked in January by the management of the Osun State Polytechnic Iree; Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke; Osun State Colleges of Education, Ilesa and Ila Orangun.

But the lawmakers intervened and promised to carry out a thorough investigation into the issue to know if some of them were sacked without just cause.

The lawmakers set up ad hoc committees  to investigate the circumstance surrounding the actions and the reports of the committee were presented to the House  and adopted following a motion by the Leader of the House, Mr. Timothy Owoeye and seconded by the Chief Whip, Folorunsho Bamisayemi.

The Speaker  said the reports have been deliberated upon at the executive session and justice had  been done to them. He said the House would ensure that its recommendations were fully implemented by the governing councils of the institutions.
