OAU Post UTME Result has been released for the 2018/2019 academic session. Candidates that sat for the OAU Post UTME screening can now check their result online free of charges. Beware of fraudsters asking for me. See the procedure below:

This is to inform all the candidates that participated in the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, 2018/2019 Post-UTME Computer-based Aptitude Test that the management has released their results.

  1. Visit the OAU post UTME result checking portal at https://admissions.oauife.edu.ng.
  2. Enter your Username and Password in the required columns.
  3. Then, Sign-in to access your OAU post UTME Score.

Note: Checking results of Post-UTME Computer-based Aptitude Test is at no fees. Candidates should beware of touts asking for money for result checking.

OAU Undergraduate General Admission Requirements

Applicants seeking admission to Part I (First Year) of a degree course in the University must be qualified for admission before the beginning of the session in which they wish to enter. The applicants must meet both:

  1. the general entrance requirements, and
  2. additional Faculty or Departmental course requirements.

Students intending to enter the University are advised to obtain information from the University about entry requirements to ensure that they have satisfied the requirements by the time they apply for admission.

Applications for courses leading to first degrees must be made on the prescribed form obtainable from the Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Suleja Road, Bwari, PMB 189, Garki, Abuja.

General Admission / Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirements to the first year is a General Certificate of Education (or equivalent) with Credit passes in at least five subjects chosen from a list approved from time to time by Senate provided that in each case all the five subjects are taken and passed at not more than two sittings.

  1. One of the passes shall be a pass at ‘O’ Level or equivalent in English Language.
  2. Except in the cases of candidate for admission to the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Law, and for the Bachelor of Arts in Education in the Faculty of Education, one of the credit passes shall be a pass at ‘O’ Level or equivalent in Mathematics.
  3. A pass in the General Paper of the Higher School Certificate is regarded as equivalent to a credit pass in English Language at ‘O’ Level.

About OAU

The Obafemi Awolowo University is a comprehensive public institution established in 1962 as The University of Ife. The University is situated on a vast expanse of land totaling 11,861 hectares in Ile-Ife, Osun State, southwest of Nigeria.

The University comprises the central campus, the student residential area, the staff quarters and a Teaching and Research Farm. The central campus comprises the academic, administrative units and service centers while the student residential area is made up of 10 undergraduate hostels and a postgraduate hall of residence.

In the 1970’s and the early 1980’s, the University attained a foremost position among universities in Africa, with a vibrant academic and social atmosphere and a high international reputation. Today, the University celebrates a rich tradition of excellence having produced, from among its staff, a Nobel Laureate and four National Merit Award winners.

Many restaurants are located here. There is a power station, a dam and a water treatment plant.
