NSUK Strike: ASUU Rejects 15 Percent Offer

– The ongoing strike in the Nasarawa State University (NSUK) seems to be lingering as ASUU rejects the offer made to them by the school management.

UNIJOS ASUU Embark On Indefinite Strike Action

There seems to be no end in sight to the strike action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Nasarawa State University chapter.

This is as the union has rejected the 15 percent offer of earned academic allowances offered to them by the university’s management as against the 45 percent it demanded.

According to the Chairman of the union, Dr Theophilus Daniel Lagi, stated that union was not going to settle for anything less than its demands, and has ordered the union to continue with the ongoing strike, which he said, was to improve the academic standard of the institution.
