The management of the National Open University, Nigeria (NOUN) has decided that the 19th Matriculation Ceremony be postponed indefinitely. This decision is in line with the Federal Government initiatives to avoid or prevent the threat of heath dangers associated with COVID-19 Pandemic.

NOUN To Produce Course Materials As Computers Rather Than Books

Management hereby regrets any inconveniences that this postponement may have caused.

Earlier: NOUN Matriculation Ceremony Date for 2019/2020 Session

NOUN Matriculation Ceremony: The school authorities of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) hereby wishes to inform the newly admitted students, their sponsors/parents, well wishers as well as members of the general public that the 19th Matriculation Ceremony of the university meant to officially usher in the new students of the university have been announced.

NOUN matriculation ceremony for newly admitted Students that was earlier scheduled to hold as follows:

Date: Saturday, 4th April, 2020.
Time: 10.00am
Venue: NOUN Study Centers Nationwide

Therefore, The collection of matriculation gowns commences on 21st March, 2020 and will end on the 3rd April, 2020 (before the commencement of orientation programme).

Requirement for the Collection of NOUN Matriculation Gowns

  • All students are expected to come with their printed Admission letters and Course registration forms.
  • The academic gowns are to be returned between the 6th – 10th April, 2020.
  • Most study centres may ask for a token at the point of collection of gowns and refund it when you returned the matric gowns.

Kindly Note that there shall be sanctions for any damages done to the collected gowns and matriculation caps.
