This followed an emergency meeting of the Senate which took place Monday.

Students of the federal university of technology have been ordered to vacate the campus.

The school management is yet to confirm or deny the cause of the crisis.

The unrest which claimed the life of a student was reported to have been caused by the Student Union Government leadership tussle. However unconfirmed sources has it that the violence is a fall out of an alleged blasphemy of Prophet Muhammad on WhatsApp.

At the moment, Security personnel including DSS, police, and civil defence corps have been drafted to maintain vigilance in conjunction with the internal security apparatus of the university.
