Kogi State Poly Post-UTME Screening Details into New Programmes, 2023/2024 Session

This is to inform all candidates that the following programmes have been introduced in Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja and registration for the 2023/2024 Post UTME screening is now open for the following courses:

Entry Requirements for Kogi State Poly Post-UTME Screening

a. ND Agricultural & Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology

Candidates must obtain the minimum score of 100 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have Five credit level passes in GCE “O” level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science or Chemistry and any other subject.

b. ND Horticultural Technology

Candidates must obtain the minimum score of 100 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have Five credit level passes in GCE “O” level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science or Chemistry and any other subject.

c. ND Mechatronic Engineering Technology

Candidates must obtain the minimum score of 100 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have five (5) passes at credit level in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and a science subject (i.e., Biology, Agricultural Science, Metal Work, Auto-mechanics, Basic Electronics, Basic Electricity, Technical Drawing)

d. ND Computer Engineering Technology

Candidates must obtain the minimum score of 100 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have five credit passes at not more than two sittings. The relevant subjects are: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one other subject from: Metal Work, Woodwork, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics, Basic Electricity, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Further Mathematics, Computer Studies, Geography and Biology or Agricultural Science.

How to Apply for Kogi State Poly Post UTME

Eligible candidates should visit our website at https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng after completing the payment of a non-refundable registration fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00), applicants will gain access to the online application forms. Instructions on how to make the payment and fill out the Post UTME form can be found on the website.

We strongly advise all candidates to accurately upload their O’level results on both the JAMB and the school portal.

About Kogi Poly

Kogi State Polytechnic was established in December 1992 by the 1st and 2nd Executive Governor of Kogi State, Prince Abub akar Audu through an amended edict No. 6 of 1994. 1994.

The Polytechnic took off in January 1993 at the Government Science Secondary School, Lokoja and Osara Campus with Dr. Isa I.A. as the first Rector. The Polytechnic is located in Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria.

It is owned and operated by Kogi State. As of 2007 it was accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to give certificates in Art and printing, Business, Engineering, Finance and Science Computing at the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels.

In December 2009 the polytechnic presented 16 programs for accreditation to a visiting team of NBTE officials, mainly for the new schools of Engineering and Environmental Technology, Applied Science and Management Studies. The Rector said the school had to be able to offer core engineering and technology programs in order to fulfill its mandate.
