KADPOLY Post UTME Screening, Eligibility and Registration Details, 2020/2021

Kaduna Polytechnic (KADPOLY) Post UTME Screening has been announced for the 2020/2021 session. The Post-UTME registration, cut-off mark, eligibility, application cost and other relevant details for the 2020/2021 academic session have been announced. Cut-off mark is 120 for ND  programmes, 180 For B.Tech (Ed) Programmes (In Affiliation with FUTMINNA), 180 For B.Sc and B.Eng Programmes (In Affiliation with ABU, Zaria). Application cost is ₦2,000. KADPOLY Post UTME Screening Invitation

This is to inform all candidates who applied for National Diploma (ND), NCE and B.Ed (Tech)/B.Sc Programmes in the 2020 JAMB admission and chose Kaduna Polytechnic as FIRST CHOICE with the following UTME scores, are hereby requested to pay and register for the POST UTME screening exercise:

(i) 120 and above for ND Programmes

(ii) 100 and above for NCE Programmes

(iii) 180 and above for B.Ed(Tech) programmes in affiliation with Federal University of Technology, Minna

(iv) 180 and above for B.Sc in affiliation with Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in either in:

  1. Architecture
  2. Building
  3. Urban & Regional Planning
  4. Chemical Engineering
  5. Civil Engineering
  6. Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  7. Mechanical Engineering
  • Such candidates must have indicated Kaduna Polytechnic as their First Choice Institution
  • Candidates that indicated interests in Kaduna Polytechnic as their 2nd Choice and 3rd Choice are advised to change to First Choice.

Eligiblity for KADPOLY Post UTME Screening

  1. Candidates who applied for admission are STRONGLY advised to upload their SSCE/NECO/NABTEB results to JAMB webiste (CAPS), at any nearest JAMB accredited CBT Centre. Failure to do so would deny candidates admission
  2. Only candidates that indicated Kaduna Polytechnic as their first Choice are eligible.
  3. Candidates that indicated interests in Kaduna Polytechnic as their second choice and third choice are adviced to change to first choice.
  4. Only candidates that participate in the screening excercise will be considered for admission into Kaduna Polytechnic
  5. Candidates within Kaduna metropolis can come to Kaduna Polytechnic ICT centre for ease of online registration.

How to Apply KAPDOLY Post UTME Screening

Candidates within Kaduna Metropolis can come to Kaduna Polytechnic ICT Centre for ease of on-line Registration, subject to the payment of N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira Only) as directed by JAMB. The payment is to be made through KadPoly website at KadPoly Microfinance Bank or any Commercial bank upon presentation of Remitta generated from the site.


How much do I pay?

Applicants are to pay Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) only for the Post UTME screening.

Payment and filling of the screening form shall be online. Visit www.kadunapolytechnic.edu.ng for details. Please follow the following steps to complete your POST UTME Online exercise:

How to make payment?

  • Visit www.kadunapolytechnic.edu.ng
  • Goto the Portals menu and select “Payment Portal”
  • Generate your SPIN by selecting “Get your SPIN” from the “Payment Portal”and filling the SPIN Form.
  • Generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) by selecting “New Payment” from the “Payment Portal” using your SPIN and choosing “Post UTME fee”.
  • You could use any Online payment Channel or visit any bank to pay using the RRR.

How to print your receipt?

  • Visit www.kadunapolytechnic.edu.ng
  • Goto the Portals menu and select “SPINPortal ®”
  • Login into the portal using your SPIN as User ID
  • Use the SPIN again as your password.
  • You may wish to change the password after login in.
  • Print your Payment Receipt from the”SPINPortal ®”

How to Fill the Online Screening Form

  • Visit www.kadunapolytechnic.edu.ng
  • Goto the Portals menu and select “PostUTME Screening Portal”
  • Follow the instructions and the steps on the page to fill your online screening form.

Only candidates that participate in the Screening Exercise will be considered for admission into Kaduna Polytechnic.

The Screening Exercise commences until further notice.

About Kaduna Poly

The idea to start a Technical Institution in Northern Nigeria started as far back as 1951, which resulted into the establishment of Kaduna Technical Institute in 1956. The establishment of Technical Institute, Kaduna was as a result of the acceptance by the British Government on the recommendation of the Higher Education Commission, which suggested the upgrading of Yaba Higher College to Technical Institute and proposed Technical Institutes in Kaduna and Enugu.

The Northern Nigeria Executive Council by at meeting of 17th August, 1962, Conclusion No.1, re-designated the Technical Institute, Kaduna as the Polytechnic, Kaduna. It became Kaduna Polytechnic in 1968 by the Federal Government Decree No. 20 of 1968, which was revised in 1979 by Decree .No. 79. In 1991, the institution was taken over by the Federal Government under Decree No. 40 of the same year.

The institution was established with the objective of providing diverse instruction, training and research in technology, the sciences, commerce, the humanities and programmes of in-service instruction for members of the public service in Nigeria. In 1968, it amalgamated two training centres, namely; the College of Science and Technology and Staff Development Centre, with Survey Unit joining later. These formed the nucleus of its four- college structure then.

Kaduna Polytechnic outside the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, is known to be the biggest higher institution in Nigeria. For the avoidance of doubt, the comparison includes all other polytechnics, universities, colleges of education and other centres of higher educational pursuits in the country. It is also rated as the largest technical institution in Africa. It is a large institution in physical size and numerical strength of students and staff population and in the number of programmes it runs. It is a polytechnic built on four campuses, each campus is as big as many higher institutions in the country.
