JAMB Admission Offer Deadline is Today: It was earlier announced that JAMB has stated that over 200,000 candidates, who applied into various tertiary institutions as first choice, have been offered admission in the 2018/2019 Academic Session. JAMB has also instructed that all those who have been given admission in their first choice institution should confirm their admission status and either accept or reject the admission on or before 16th October, 2018.
The Head, Media and Information of the JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin made these findings known to the public. He also warned that candidates who fail to accept their admission before the above date, should consider such admission lost, as the board intends to mop up any admission spots for other interested candidates.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in a statement in Lagos, said the admission took effect after the board’s policy meeting in June in Gbongan, Osun State. According to him, the exercise is done through the Central Admission Process (CAPS), an automated process to eliminate all human interference.
“We have so far offered not less than 200,000 first choice admissions to candidates. To this effect, therefore, we are urging candidates to go to our site and check their admission status and those who have been offered such admission should quickly indicate by accepting and printing such offer, as failure to do so will automatically mean the candidate is no longer interested.
“And therefore, the board may see all such offers as rejected and would have no option than to mop them up and give them to other interested candidates.”
