Mr. Chigozie was said to have graduated from the department of optometry with a CGPA of 4.71 as the best graduating student of the Imo state University (IMSU) at its 7th Convocation ceremony held recently could not have believed that his hard work as a student will ever give him the much attention and reward he received during the ceremony.
During the ceremony, it was learnt that Mr Chigozie received a sum of 1 million Naira with automatic employment as a lecturer to the university and a scholarship award for his Masters programme abroad from the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha during the ceremony.
Similarly, a house of assembly member in the state identified as Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, gave him a sum of 500,000 Naira.
Also the pro-chancellor of the University, Chief Innocent pledged to donate a brand new car to Mr Chigozie from his company, Innoson group of company and was given another
sum of 50,000 by one Hon. Mathew Omegara to fuel the car.
With the news and attention first class students are getting recently, it seems we are beginning to appreciate hard work among students.
