FUTA Supplementary Admission Form for New Programmes, 2020/2021 Session

LATEST UPDATE: The Supplementary Post-UTME Screening Exercise for candidates who sat for the 2020/2021 UTME and have changed to the newly approved programmes (i.e. MB.BS, LTT & PMT) in the University, has been scheduled to take place as follows:

Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Entrance Gate

Date: Saturday, 5th June 2021

Venue: University CBT Centre, Obanla Campus

Candidates who have successfully changed to the new Programmes on FUTA JAMB Portal and are yet to register for the Post-UTME Screening on FUTA website are advised to do so not later than Friday, 4th June, 2021 when the FUTA Website Portal for registration for the supplementary Post –UTME Screening will be closed.

After registration, affected candidates should print the slip and present same at the venue on the day of the Screening.  

Candidates will be personally contacted on the specific time for the Screening.

Candidates are advised to strictly adhere to COVID-19 protocols while on Campus for the Screening.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following recently approved Departments in the School of Logistics and Innovation Technology for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.

1. B.Tech in Logistics and Transport Technology

SSCE SUBJECTS: Five SSCE credit passes or its equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Geography, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Agricultural Science

UTME SUBJECTS: English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one of Geography, Chemistry and Physics

2. B.Tech in Project Management Technology

SSCE SUBJECTS: Five SSCE credit passes or its equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, and Chemistry.

UTME SUBJECTS: English Language, Mathematics, and any two of Physics Chemistry and Economics.

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates who scored a minimum of 180 marks in the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are eligible irrespective of their most preferred choice institution. Candidates who have been offered admission in any other institution and have accepted need NOT apply.

How to Apply for FUTA Supplementary Admission Form

Candidates are required to:

  • change their institutions of choice to FUTA (if they have not done so)
  • ensure eligibility for Post-UTME by:
    • checking the University’s website (www.futa.edu.ng) for the admission requirements and mode of payment for the application;
    • completing and submitting the University Post-UTME Application Form online; and
    • printing out a copy of the Form.

The date for the conduct of the Post-UTME screening will be communicated to candidates through extant channels of communication of the University in due course.

CLOSING DATE: The closing date for payment, completion and submission of the application form online is Friday, 28th May, 2021.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Computer-Based Post-UTME screening exercise for admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2020/2021 Academic session will commence on Monday, September 21st, and ends Saturday, October 31st, 2020. Monday, September 21st, and ends Saturday, October 31st, 2020

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who scored a minimum of 180 in the 2020 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the Direct Entry (DE) candidates who made the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) their First Choice Institution are eligible for the screening.

In addition, each candidate must possess at least five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings in O’ level examinations conducted by WAEC, NECO and NABTEB or their equivalent. Candidates who are awaiting results but whose results would be available before the conclusion of the admission exercise are also eligible to apply.

SCREENING FEE

₦2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only payable at any bank on e-Tranzact platform only.

METHOD OF APPLICATION: FUTA POST-UTME SCREENING

Candidates are required to:

  • Visit the University website (www.futa.edu.ng) for information;
  • complete and submit the University Post-UTME Application Form online; and
  • print out a copy of the Registration Form.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

The Registration Form is mandatory for all eligible candidates to complete for the screening exercise. Please note that the candidate’s UTME Registration Number and the Full names (as it is on JAMB slip) be correctly provided at the point of payment and registration.

After payment, each candidate should visit the University website and complete the online Registration Form.

Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated period will not be eligible for the Screening.

FUTA POST UTME SCREENING SCHEDULE (2020/2021 ADMISSIONS EXERCISE)

The schedule and procedure for the Screening would be announced later. Consequently, ALL eligible candidates are advised to check the University website regularly for updates as appropriate.

Please note that any UTME candidate who is not screened will NOT be considered for admission to the University. Also, candidates must ensure that their O’ level results are uploaded to the JAMB website as failure to do this will render the affected candidates ineligible for admission.
