Fed Poly Offa HND Admission Details for 2019/2020 Session

Latest Update: The management of offa poly has released an addendum to the ealier published information regarding HND Admission for the 2019/2020 Academic session. The details are as follows;

Federal-Polytechnic-Offa-OFFAPOLY

Applications are hereby invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following Full-Time Higher National Diploma programmes in the Departments of Science Laboratory Technology (School of Applied Sciences & Technology) and Estate Management & Evaluation (School of Environmental Studies) of the Federal Polytechnic Offa for 2019/2020 academic session.

Details are as follows:

TWO YEAR HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) MORNING PROGRAMMES

The under listed two (2) years Full-Time programmes leading to the award of Higher National Diploma are available in the Institution viz;

  1. SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY

       Department of Science Laboratory Technology

  1. Biochemistry
  2. Chemistry

     iii. Environmental Biology

  1. Microbiology
  2. SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
  3. Estate Management & Valuation

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) MORNING PROGRAMMES

The entry requirements for the Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes are as follow:

  1. National Diploma (ND), National Innovative Diploma (NID) in the chosen programme at not a grade below LOWER CREDIT classification from a recognized/accredited Polytechnic, Monotechnic or Innovation Enterprise Institutions.
  2. O’ Level Requirements in SSCE, GCE and its equivalent    
  3. Minimum of five (5) creditpasses in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology obtained at not more than two (2) sittings for candidates in the Science Laboratory Technology Department.
  4. Minimum of five (5) creditpasses in  English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one basic Science subject from Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and any other subject from Geography, Government, Accounts, Commerce, Fine Arts,  Technical Drawing , Metal and Woodwork obtained at not more than two (2) sittings, for candidates in the Estate Management & Valuation Department.
  5. The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business

Certificate (NBC) with credit level pass in a trade plus four relevant academic subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics.

  1. All candidates are required to have at least one year post National Diploma Industrial Trainingexperience; however, candidates with pass grade at the ND/NID are eligible for consideration for admission provided they have minimum of two (2) years post Industrial Trainingexperience.

Every applicants for the Polytechnic HND Programme who did not obtain his/her ND from The Federal Polytechnic Offa are required to forward a copy of his/her National Diploma transcript to the Office of the Registrar on or before 27th September, 2019.

This is to inform the general public that admission forms into Full-time and Part-time Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes of the Federal Polytechnic Offa for the 2019/2020 academic session is on sale.

Please note that the HND Part-Time programmes are primarily for the working class; who for reason of employment cannot attend regular HND programmes.

It is also important to note that Part-Time HND graduates are exempted from participating in the National Youth Service (NYSC) Scheme.

Admission Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for all Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes are as follow:

1. Candidates are required to Possess National Diploma (ND), National Innovative Diploma (NID) in their chosen programme at not a grade below LOWER CREDIT classification from a recognized/accredited Polytechnic, Monotechnic or Innovation Enterprise Institutions.

SSC, GCE O’level with at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language & Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings.

2.     The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business

How to Apply:

  • Candidates wishing to apply for the HND (FT) and Part-Time programmes are to visit the Polytechnic portal via www.fpo.edu.ng,
  • Click on admission to fill application form, and thereafter make payment of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00) only for application form and no other charges shall be required.
  • Payment will be made with an ATM card that is interswitch compatible.
  • Candidates are to also upload scanned copy of certificate (s)/result(s) and other required documents as stated online.
  • Please note that any false/wrong data entry will lead to automatic disqualification of the candidate at any time so discovered.
