Management of Akanu Ibiam federal polytechnic (AIFPU), Unwana, has announced the reopening of academic activities for the semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. According to the Polytechnic Academic board, academic activities will resume on Monday, October 19, 2020.
This is coming nearly six months after the institution was shut down following the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
The Management of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana had approved October 19 for the commencement of academic activities
OCTOBER 2020
- Monday 19th – Academic activities resume/Revision begins
- Tuesday 27th – Revision Ends
- Wednesday 28 – First Semester Exams Begin
NOVEMBER 2020
- Saturday 28 – First Semester Exams end
DECEMBER 2020
- Tuesday 1 – Second Semester 2019/2020 begins/Students return to the residence
- Wednesday 2 – Course registration begins
- Monday 7 – Course registration begins
- Tuesday 8 – School Boards meet
- Wednesday 9 – Academic Board meets
