How to Check ABSU Admission Status on School Portal

ABSU 1st Batch admission list for the 2018/2019 session is now out on school portal. The list of candidates offered admission (1st Batch) into regular undergraduate programmes of Abia State University for the 2018/2019 academic year has been released on-line and all Abia State University Notice Boards.

See procedure to check your admission status on the school’s website:

  1. Candidates should log on to the ABSU Portal: (http://portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng/)
  2. Under “Applicants” on the menu Section, Select “Purchase Admission Status Checking Card” and proceed to generate an invoice
  3. Proceed to any branch of our designated Banks listed below and pay N3,000.00 (Three thousand Naira) only for checking of admission status:
    – ABSU Microfinance Bank; Ecobank Plc,
    – Zenith Bank Plc; First Bank Plc,
    – Fidelity Bank Plc; Union Bank Plc.
  4. Log back on to the ABSU portal (http://portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng/),
  5. Under “Applicants” Select your Check Admission Status and provide your JAMB Registration Number where required and proceed to login and check your admission status and print both their JAMB and ABSU offer-of-Admission Letter.
  6. Thereafter, report at the Admissions office of the University at Uturu for the collection of the Acceptance-of-offer slip, to enable you pay the necessary fees and obtain further instructions therefrom.

Any admission offer not accepted on or before Friday 10th October, 2018, should be considered lapsed.

How to Check ABSU Admission Status on JAMB Website

The list of candidates offered Primary admission into regular undergraduate programmes of Abia State University for the 2018/2019 academic year has been released on-line.

ABSU admission list contains the names of candidates offered provisional admission into the university’s various degree programmes. The ABSU admission list is also accessible on JAMB CAPS website.

  1. Visit http://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility/ and login with your registered email address and password to access your dashboard
  2. Once you have logged in you will see a welcome notice just move down on the page you will see “Check 2018 UTME/DE Admission Status on CAPS”. (See figure above)
  3. Click on this “Check 2018 UTME/DE Admission Status on CAPS” and you will be redirected to the JAMB CAPS Admission Status Checking page
  4. After clicking on “Check 2018 UTME/DE Admission Status on CAPS”, you will see a page showing your JAMB details and your admission status.
  5. If you have been given admission, you can now go ahead to accept or reject the admission. If you are yet to get admission, keep checking the the JAMB website for further updates.

    please i checked my admission statue and it writes "admission on progress check again later" please what does that mean

    1. Favour, it means what it says; that you should check back later. However, it is worth asking whether you are getting that message on the school portal or on JAMB portal.

    please i have been checking my post utme result for absu and i have not seen ..it keeps on showing your "result still in process".what does it mean??

    please am having problems in checking my absu admission status after I printed my admission letter and acceptance fee invoice. I can't check it again with the code is writing "unable to validate details"

    1. It should be a temporary problem. However, since you have printed your admission letter, hopefully, there's no reason to worry.
