To attract top students, the University of Alberta, Canada offers more than CAD$22 million in undergraduate scholarships each year. The University offers undergraduate scholarships each year for international students. Scholarships are awarded annually to students on study permit who are entering an undergraduate degree program. Some of these scholarships requires separate application while you’ll be considered for the other scholarships after you have received admission to the University.

How to Apply for the University of Alberta International Entrance Leadership Scholarship

Please note that documentation required for admission must be submitted for scholarship consideration. This includes transcripts showing all completed courses and grades to date and proof of English Language Proficiency (see Transcript and Document Requirements link). Make sure you send final or interim transcripts well before the award deadline.

Variable from $20,000; payable over four years

What is the eligibility criteria?

Awarded to students on a Study Permit with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta. Selection based on academic standing and demonstrated leadership qualities based on involvement in extracurricular and community activities. Renewal of funding for the second, third, and fourth years is contingent upon achieving a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a full normal course load at the University of Alberta while studying on a Study Permit. Students must have less than 24 IB, AP or A-level credits. Transfer students are not eligible for this scholarship.
