The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK is offering scholarships to Sub-Saharan African students who intends pursuing a degree program at the institution.

The London School of Economics is a public research university located in London, England and a constituent college of the federal University of London.

Value of Scholarship

There is one scholarship with an approx. value of £25,000 for an applicant to a full-time taught masters programme.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible applicants must be a national of, and resident in, a country in Sub-Saharan Africa. The selection will be based on merit and financial need.

Nationality

Students of sub-Saharan Africa (Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (Democratic Republic), Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe) can apply for this scholarship.

How to Apply

To be considered for this scholarship, you must have completed the 2018/18 LSE Graduate Financial Support Application form and received an offer of admission(conditional or unconditional) by 5pm UK time on 26 April 2018. You must complete Section G – Personal Statement.

When you submit an application for admission to a taught masters programme, the Graduate Admissions Office will acknowledge your application and provide information about how to set up an LSE For You online account. This account will allow you to track the progress of your application for admission, and will provide you with access to the LSE Graduate Financial Support Application Form. The LSE Graduate Financial Support Application form will be available until 26 April 2018.

Selection for this scholarship will take place between May and July 2018 and we will only notify the successful recipient(s) by the end of July 2018. If you have not heard from the Financial Support Office by the end of July 2018, you must assume your application has been unsuccessful. We will notify successful applicants only.
