Applications are currently ongoing for the 2016 MACC Scholarships In Malaysia. The Malaysian Australian Alumni Council is offering MACC Scholarships for Malaysian students. Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate programme at Australian Universities.

The aim of the Malaysia Australia Colombo Plan Commemoration (MACC) Scholarships is to provide Malaysian students the opportunity to experience diverse cultures through sponsored education.

The MACC Scholarship Programme is spear headed and coordinated by the Malaysian Australian Alumni Council (The MAAC), a national organization for Malaysian Alumni Associations of Australian Universities and other institutions of higher learning, with the support of the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), Education and the Australian Department of Education, Science and Training through the Australian Education International (AEI).

Entry requirements vary between institutions and according to the level of English language course student want to study.

Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate programme.

Eligible Courses:

Scholarships are offered in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their education.

Scholarship Award:

In general, the MACC Scholarship contributions consist of both partial and / or full tuition fee waiver from contributing Universities and institutions of higher learning in specific or general Undergraduate and / or Postgraduate programmes.

Scholarship can be taken at Australia

Eligibility Criteria:

For undergraduates and postgraduates degree
-STPM/A-Level/IB or equivalent
-CPU or CIMP / Year 12 (HSC/VCE/AUSMAT/SAM)/SMA III/Foundation studies
-Matriculation, Diploma or Degree: At least a CGPA of 3.50
-English Essay: Must submit a 1-page English essay on reasons for applying for the scholarship, benefits to be gained from the course of study including education & career plans
-Priority are given to first year students. Current students holding offer letters for first year entrance to the respective universities offering the scholarships are encouraged to apply.
-Offers are not applicable to the following applicants:
(a) already holding a full scholarship from an Australian and/or foreign sponsoring agency or university.
(b) currently holding any partial scholarships with any Australian and/or foreign sponsoring agency or university.
(c) currently studying in the university offering the scholarship under The MACC Scholarship flagship.
-All applicants must satisfy the English language requirements for admission to scholarship(s) applied
-The scholarships are neither exchangeable for cash, nor refundable and non-transferable to another person, course or year.

Eligible Countries:

Applicants from Malaysia are eligible to apply for MACC Scholarships.

College Admission Requirements

English Language Requirement: The English language skill level required by an institution can be different from the level of skill required for applicants’ student visa application.

Supporting Material:

The following are compulsory to be submitted via email to macc-at-augstudy.com:
1) Respective University’s Form that you are applying
Download and complete the respective University’s form that student is applying for the scholarship
2) Copies of academic certificates for tertiary qualifications, professional qualifications
3) An essay < 1500 characters and tell why this scholarship should be awarded to them
4) A PDF copy of receipt/Bank-in slip for payment of administrative fee of RM 50 (non-refundable) per scholarship to Public Bank Account  [ Account Name: The MAAC Account Number: 31 0598 0801 ] For postgraduates, the following additional information will be required:
5) Transcripts of STPM and/or any other foundation or Pre-University/Bachelor/Masters results
6) CV including details of curriculum activities

NOTE: The MACC Expression of Interests Form does not constitute a successful application if the above required items are not forwarded nor your expression of interest will be assessed any further.

How to Apply:

Applicants must apply via the MACC expression of interests form before scholarships applications can be reviewed.
