Guidelines to Gaining Easy Admission into the University

 

The school authorities and management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo have announced the sale of the admission form into her ND programme for the 2015/2016 academic session. You can find the available programmes on offer as well as their specific requirements by programme/course below.

General Requirements

Admission into all full time ND programme is through the UTME, examination being handled by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).  Candidates are to check the JAMB Brochure for the general entry requirements and as well take note of the specific course requirements with respect to Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.  In addition, candidates must obtain five credits at WASC/GCE O’L/SSCE/NECO/

Candidates must possess National Diploma in any of the following: Agricultural Technology, Forestry Technology, Animal Health & Production Technology, Horticultural Technology and Science Laboratory Technology. Also, the minimum entry requirements for ND programme in Agricultural related courses. 

(a) Candidates must possess four credit passes in       Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any of Economics, Geography, Statistics and Technical Drawing. A pass in English Language is accepted.

 

(b)   Candidates must also possess the minimum of a Lower Credit in any of the following Agricultural programmes:

i)      Agricultural Technology

ii)      Forestry Technology

iii)     Horticultural Technology

iv)     Animal Health & Production Technology

v)      Fisheries and Aquaculture, and

vi)     Science Laboratory Technology.

 

Candidates must possess National Diploma in any of the following: Agricultural Technology, Forestry Technology and Horticultural Technology. In addition, five O’level credit pass in Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and two of the following subjects – Technical Drawing, Economics, Geography, Statistics and Further Mathematics. For a – e:
