Project description:

The research fellows will be attached to the Mechanics group. Information about this research group can be found at
http://www.mn.uio.no/math/english/research/groups/mechanics/

The PD project will be concerned with biomechanical flow and flow induced vibration with focus on experimental investigation on different flow phenomena.

Applicants must have a background within applied mathematics, fluid mechanics, boundary layer – and transitional flows, experimental techniques and signal processing. Experience with Particle Image Velocimetry and Particle tracking velocimetry is a prerequisite. Basic knowledge of microfluidics is considered a bonus. The project objectives will require the candidates to master numerical, theoretical and experimental analyses.
