Instead of arguing which is right, the dictionary shows that the correct one is shortage. Both shortage and pressure has the "sh" sound, while treasure has a deeper sound than the "sh"

Actually you're wrong here, and they are correct. The pressure has a 'sh' sound but that's the mistake most Nigerians make, they think it has the same sound as in treasure. Refer back to your dictionary and see the real pronunciation of pressure

Actually, if you look at the phonetics of the word 'treasure', it is closest to the phonetics of 'pressure'. That of 'shortage' is nothing close to it.

The 's' in Treasure carries the right sound with the 'ss' in Pressure....
