Nigerian Ambassador Scholarship in the University of West London

What the scholarship includes:

The Nigerian Ambassador Scholarship recognizes and provides financial support for outstanding Nigerian students. We are awarding two Nigerian students who are starting an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at The University of West London in September 2014. Each scholarship is worth £5000 for one year of study and will take form in a tuition fee reduction. The average undergraduate fee is £9950 and postgraduate is £10,450, making it around 50% of your tuition fee.

Eligibility and Award criteria:

Students are eligible to apply for this scholarship in any of the following academic departments:
Art, Design & Media, Business, Computing & Technology, Hospitality & Tourism, Law, Music, Nursing & Midwifery and Psychology, Social Work and Human Science.
The scholarship will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
  • academic merit
  • completed application form
  • short essays required in the application form.

How to Apply:

You can apply for our Nigerian Ambassador Scholarships by completing the scholarship application form. The deadline for applications for September 2014 is 5 pm on Sunday 22 June 2014. Please save the application form to your computer before completing it. Once completed, please save and e-mail your completed application form to int.app@uwl.ac.uk. If you are unable to save a completed version of the form, this could mean that you do not have the required software. If this is the case, please print off the form and scan the completed application to int.app@uwl.ac.uk.

You will also need to provide: 

  1. academic transcripts including certificate
  2. WAEC certificate with a minimum of a credit in English
  3. a personal statement explaining why you are suitable for the course
  4. two professional and / or academic references
  5. a copy of your passport
  6. copies of any other supporting documents.
