5 Ways Outstanding Students Are Made (Successful Student Series 2)

The Making of Every Outstanding Student

Being outstanding is a goal every student wants to achieve at least when he or she first enters school.

Very few students actually know what it takes to be outstanding…

What does it take to be an outstanding student?

How are outstanding students made?

I consider myself to be one based on my personal assessment and the assessment of others so I think I’m in a good position to answer that question.

To be outstanding simply means to stand out, to be positively different from one’s peers.

Outstanding students are always different wherever you meet them.

It’s not all about their academic performance even though that’s where they are first noticed by their class mates.

How are outstanding students made?

Ask any outstanding student why they are the way they are and how they’ve come to become that way and they’ll tell you one or more of the following:

  1. I strive to pursue balance in every aspect of my life.

Outstanding students pursue balance with everything in them in all important aspects of their life and that’s how they deal with the monotony syndrome.

  1. I read voraciously and try to stay as versatile as I possibly can

Look at all outstanding students and you’ll find out that they know something about almost everything. This is because they are voracious readers and are always hungry for information.

  1. I try to be conscious of my thoughts as much as I can

As a man thinks in his heart, so he is. Outstanding students know this, that’s why they control their thought life and that way they always seem to feel good, happy and satisfied with their lives. They are always attracting the good things they think about.

  1. I treat myself and others with respect

Outstanding students know the importance of being at peace with others. While we can’t please everyone, we can be at peace with them and that is by respecting them as well as ourselves.

  1. I associate with positively minded individuals

Show me your friends and I’ll tell you where you’ll end up in ten years from now. Outstanding students don’t joke with those they keep around themselves and those they spend time with because our relationships affect who we become. That’s why outstanding students are always friends with other outstanding students.

Do you know some outstanding students or do you consider yourself to be one? What other ways do you think outstanding students are made?
