Al-Hikmah University Appoints New Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor

Prof. Abdulganiyu Adeola Badmus has been appointed the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University. This followed the recommendation of the Vice-chancellor and approval by the Governing Council at her 16th Regular Meeting held on 5th May, 2015.

Prof. Abdulganiyu Adeola Badmus who is the new acting DVC – Deputy Vice Chancellor, a Professor of Mathematics, was until his appointed the Dean, College of Natural Sciences.

In a circular released by the Registrar of the University, Prof. Abdulganiyu Adeola Badmus will hold this position untill the appointment of a substantive Vice-Chancellor who will take over from the incumbent VC, Professor S. A. Abdulkareem whose tenure will soon expire.

The circular therefore urges all members of the University community to relate with the new Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor accordingly.

About Al-Hikmah University

Al-Hikmah University is an Islamic university located in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. It was founded in 2005 by AbdulRaeem Oladimeji Islamic Foundation AROIF based in Nigeria and World Assembly of Muslim Youths WAMY based in Jeddah. Prof. Sulyman Age Abdulkareem is the current Vice-Chancellor. The goal of Al-Hikmah University is to be a centre of intellectual and moral excellence.

The University came into existence via the granting of Operating License to run as a Conventional Private University by the Federal Government of Nigeria License No. 010 on 7 January 2005. It commenced academic activities during the 2005/2006 academic session with 70 students spread across the three (3) take-off Colleges: Humanities, Management Sciences and Natural Sciences.
