Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) began with the faculties of Agriculture, Engineering, Law and Sciences, fifteen academic departments and 426 students. Ahmadu Bello University increased in size and scope under the successive Vice-Chancellorships of the late Professor Norman Alexander (1961-1966), the late Professor Ishaya Audu (1966-1975), Professor Iya Abubakar (1975-1978), Professor Oladipo Akinkugbe (1978-1979), Professor Ango Abdullahi (1979- 1986) the late Professor Adamu Nayaya Mohammed (1986:-1991), Professor Daniel Saror (1991-1995), the Sole Administrator, Major General Mamman Kontagora (rtd) (1995-1998) , Professor Abdullahi Mahadi (1999-2004), Professor Shehu Usman Abdullahi (2004-2009), Professor Jarlath U. Umoh (2009), Professor Aliyu (2009-2010), Professor Abdullahi Mustapha (2010 to 2015) and Professor Ibrahim Garba (2015 to date). As a result of its rapid growth, the University has been transformed into the largest and the most extensive of all the universities in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria covers a land area of about 7,000 hectares and encompasses two campuses, twelve Faculties, a Postgraduate School and 82 academic departments. It also has five Institutes, six Specialized Centers, a Division of Agricultural Colleges, a School of Basic and Remedial Studies, a Demonstration Secondary School, a Primary School and a Consultancy Outfit which .provides a variety of services to the University and the wider society.

ABU Zaria 2015/2016 Post UTME Form Information

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria 2015/2016 Post UTME screening form for all UTME admission-seeking candidates is now available as has been announced by the institution. All concerned aspirants and interested members of the public that wish to study in the institution are hereby notified and advised to procure their forms as soon as possible.

According the school’s management and authorities, the process of registering candidates for 2015/2016 Post UTME Screening Exercise registration has commenced in the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. The details of the registration, cut off mark have been released likewise.

ABU Zaria 2015/2016 Post UTME Application Procedures, Venues and Dates

The school authorities and management of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria invites all 2015 UTME candidates who chose the University as First choice and Scored 180 and above to apply for the screening examination.

Eligibility Criteria:

i) Candidates who scored 180 and above in UTME for all courses.
ii) And must have chosen Ahmadu Bello University as their first choice.

How To Apply for ABU Zaria 2015/2016 Post UTME:

Applicants are required to pay a sum of N2,200.00 for the screening exercise. This is exclusive of bank administrative charge of N200.00.

To make the payment, candidates are advised to visit the University PUTME registration portal at putme.abu.edu.ng and Generate a Transaction Payment Slip, print the slip and proceed to any of the designated banks below for payment.

Candidates are to use their JAMB registration number as their username and their respective states of origin as password for logging in.

After making payment in any of the prescribed banks, candidates are to come back here putme.abu.edu.ng to finish their registration and schedule for the screening test.

A printout of candidate schedule slip with the passport photograph and a printout of the UTME result MUST be submitted on the day of the screening. Candidates MUST keep photocopies of all submissions for their own records.

Candidates Should report to the new Lecture Hall, Faculty of Social Science, Main Campus, Ahmadu Bello University, Samaru, Zaria at least one hour before the scheduled time as indicated on the candidate’s slip.

Please note that:

GSM Phones are not allowed during the Post-UTME Screening Exercise.
Only JAMB calculator will be allowed into the venue.
Parents, Guardians and uninvited law enforcement agencies will not be allowed into the venue during the screening exercise.

Venues, dates and time for Screening are as contained on the scheduling slip.

Any candidate who fails to appear for the screening exercise on the date indicated on his/her Schedule Slip would not be considered for admission into the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria during the 2015/2016 academic session.

Closing Date:

Registration for the screening exercise ends on Sunday, 23rd August, 2015.

    1. Prosper, you need at least 200 in your UTME. The subjects you will write in JAMB are English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry. You also need to at least credit these subjects in your O’levels.
