Jean Rich Masters 2015-2016 Studentship at Manchester Metropolitan University in UK

You are invited to apply for the Jean Rich Masters 2015-2016 Studentship at Manchester Metropolitan University in UK. The Jean Rich Foundation of Canada offers the Jean Rich Scholarship to support one UK student studying full time on the MA Library and Information Management / MSC. Information Management programme. Graduates of all disciplines are equipped with knowledge and skills of the information profession are eligible to apply.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions:

The Scholarship has a value of 6,000 Canadian dollars and is intended for award to an applicant of academic merit who has the commitment to complete the programme of study and who is in need of financial support.

Selection criteria: Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.

Notification: The successful candidate will be notified of the Jean Rich Scholarship Awarding Panel’s decision in September 2015. The Awarding Panel’s decision is final.

Eligibility Criteria:

Graduates of all disciplines are equipped with knowledge and skills of the information profession. Accredited by the Chartered Institute of the Library and Information Profession (CILIP), the course is taught by dedicated staff with library and information management experience and benefits from our strong professional connections with the library information and broader media industries in the North West and across the UK.

Vice-Chancellor 2015-2016 PhD Scholarships for UK/EU and International Students in UK

You are invited to apply for the Vice-Chancellor 2015-2016 PhD Scholarships for UK/EU and International Students in UK. Scholarships provide a fee waiver only (living costs are met by the Candidate) and will be allocated by the Faculty to outstanding applicants.

The scholarships are open to both UK/EU and International students who wish to study full-time (36 months) and in exception, part-time (48 months) and are designed to appeal specifically to those with industry, business or government sponsorship. In addition, research costs, including field work and conference attendance, will be met.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions:

Scholarships provide a fee waiver only (living costs are met by the Candidate) and will be allocated by the Faculty to outstanding applicants. In addition, research costs, including field work and conference attendance, will be met.

Scholarships will be awarded on a full-time basis for a period of 36 months or a part-time basis for a period of 48 months.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates for the Vice-Chancellor PhD Scholarship must demonstrate outstanding qualities and be motivated to complete a PhD in 3 years (4 years part-time).

• All candidates must satisfy the University’s minimum doctoral entry criteria for studentships of an honours degree at Upper Second Class (2.1) and/or an appropriate Masters degree. An IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 minimum (or equivalent) is essential for candidates for whom English is not their first language.

• In addition to satisfying basic entry criteria, BU will look closely at the qualities, skills and background of each candidate and what they can bring to their chosen research project in order to ensure successful and timely completion.

Cass Business School 2015-2016 International Student Scholarship in UK

Applications are ongoing for the Cass Business School 2015-2016 International Student Scholarship in UK. At Cass Business School they believe that exceptional academic performance should be recognised and rewarded.

They are offering a scholarship of £2,000 to international undergraduate students starting an undergraduate course at Cass in September 2015, achieving exceptional grades in  subject to academic performance.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions:

The scholarship is worth £2000 towards the cost of the first year’s tuition fee and will be awarded on academic excellence. Only one Scholarship is available and it is awarded for up to three years, subject to academic performance.

Selection Criteria: All applications will be fully considered with preference given to those that meet the academic requirements.

Notification: You will be notified by letter or email as to whether you have been successful or unsuccessful. The timing of this will depend on when your place at Cass is confirmed. All decisions will be made by 31st October 2015.

African Postgraduate 2015-2016 Scholarships at Edinburgh Napier University in UK

You are invited to apply for the African Postgraduate 2015-2016 Scholarships at Edinburgh Napier University in UK. Edinburgh Napier University is inviting applications for merit based African postgraduate scholarships. The scholarships of between GBP £1000 – £3000 are for entry onto a full time postgraduate programme in September 2015 and January 2016.

Students who are domiciled in Africa at the time of application and are self-funding their course are eligible for a merit based scholarships. Applications for courses are submitted by July for courses starting in September and by the end of November for courses starting in January.

The scholarships are awarded in all subjects offered by the Edinburgh Napier University, UK and are available for pursuing full time postgraduate programme.

Eligible Countries:

Scholarship Value/Inclusions:

Merit based scholarships of between GBP £1000 – £3000 for entry onto a full time postgraduate programme in September 2015 and January 2016. The scholarship amounts for applicants with the qualifications below are usually as follows:

• Students with offers for laboratory based courses (£13,960 course fees): Bachelor degree at 2:1 or above: fee reduction of £3,000 or Bachelor degree at 2:2: fee reduction of £2,000

• Students with offers for classroom based courses (£12,000 course fees): Bachelor degree at 2:1 or above: fee reduction of £2,000 or Bachelor degree at 2:2: fee reduction of £1,000

Selection Criteria: Scholarships will be awarded on a first come first serve basis to students who hold an unconditional offer to their Masters programme and have made their £3500 deposit payment towards their fees.
